Ludwig Stroink


Ludwig Stroink graduated in Geology from the RWTH Technical University of Aachen, Germany, were he later obtained his doctor's degree. Ludwig has more than 30 years of experience in interdisciplinary research and international project management. Between 2000 and 2009 he has been the founding Managing Director of the German R&D-Programme GEOTECHNOLOGIEN. After 10 years of successful project coordination, Ludwig was appointed Head of the newly founded “International Office” of the German Research Centre for Geosciences GFZ. In September 2020, it has been merged with the unit 'Project Funding' to form the 'Projects and International Affairs' department, which Ludwig has headed since then.
